Helping your lab support patients with the most urgent needs quickly

Patients presenting with chest pain and shortness of breath are time-critical emergencies that leave your lab no room for error or delay. Achieving the best patient outcomes requires the fastest intervention possible.

VITROS® Cardiac Assays offer exceptional assay performance to help provide vital information to inform treatment decisions.

VITROS® Cardiac Assays offer exceptional assay performance to help provide vital information to inform treatment decisions.

For US:
VITROS® Troponin I ES Assay

Improved assay sensitivity and precision delivers reliable short-term and long-term risk information for patients with acute coronary syndrome and supports single sample testing with serum/plasma equivalence.

  • Performance competitive with a currently available 5th Generation high sensitivity Troponin assays.
  • Guideline acceptable precision. Meets ACC/ESC guidelines for acceptable imprecision in a high sensitivity assay ( 10% coefficient of variation at the 99th percentile).
  • Validated clinical performance at the 99th percentile upper reference limit of normal enables accelerated rule-in/rule-out algorithms
  • Analyzer automated sample indices help ensure that actionable results are reported.
  • False positive Troponin T results have been reported in patients with kidney disease.1 Troponin I biomarker elevations are more specific for myocardial damage than TroponinT elevations.2

For ex-US:
VITROS® High-Sensitivity Troponin Assay*

  • Provides high analytical sensitivity and precision for the detection of small changes at the 99th percentile, enabling early diagnosis of acute myocardial infarction
  • Features a high negative predictive value that helps reduce emergency department crowding and requires fewer tests to diagnose
  • Meets the International Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (IFCC) classification as a high-sensitivity troponin assay
  • Shows excellent prognostic value as an aid in the assessment of cardiac-related mortality/MI and all-cause mortality over 30 days and 12 months
  • HS Troponin assay is compliant for use with guidelines for management of acute coronary syndrome, including ESC, AHA and NICE

For ex-US:
VITROS® NT-proBNP II Assay

  • NT-proBNP is more stable than BNP, which is important when samples must be transported1
  • NT-proBNP allows for better management of patients on common heart failure therapy (Entresto®) compared to BNP 2
  • Most NT-proBNP assays correlate well to each other. (Not all BNP assays correlate well with other BNP assays.)3
  • The VITROS® NT-proBNP II assay is validated with the state-of-the-art ICON cutoffs, which offer improved specificity as they account for age and renal function4-8
  • The VITROS® NT-proBNP II assay also incorporates our state-of-the-art MicroWell technology that features an analyte-specific coating designed to eliminate biotin interference
